The fascinating large-format ink drawings by young artist Dana Sahánková (1984), a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, combine the world of everyday personal experiences with the consciousness and unconsciousness of the universe and the universe´s order. All three layers clash and dynamically come together on multiple planes that are visually dominated by animal motifs. Detail is contrasted with the entirety of the universe, and so the images become something like depiction of a theatrum mundi.
