The series of 14 colour photographs On White Paper and Guys (1988–1989, 2011) is an early example of work by the duo of conceptual photographers Lukáš Jasanský and Martin Polák. The images depict objects from the artists’ daily life, presented without any further context. The resulting pairs of objects document the absurd nature of reality while at the same time parodying the genre of the photographic still-life.
